The CM106 is an adjustable tripod made of galvanized steel tubing. It is adjustable from 7 to 10 ft, so it replaces the 6 ft CM6 and the 10 ft CM10. It is also lighter than those tripods because it is made with tubing and they are made with pipe. The CM106 is a general purpose tripod that can be used for mounting sensors, solar panels, antennas, and instrument enclosures.
Leer másThe CM106 is constructed with individually adjusted legs that allow installation over uneven terrain. Height of the mast is 2.1 m (7 ft), or 3 m (10 ft) with the mast extended.
The CM106 includes lightning and grounding rods, grounding cables, UV resistant cable ties, and stakes for securing the tripod feet to the ground. An optional guy kit is recommended for sites that may experience high wind speeds. (See Allowable Wind Speeds in the Specifications.) Instrument enclosures can be purchased with mounting brackets that attach to either the mast or leg base.
The CM106 can be used for a variety of applications. For meteorological stations, sensors are mounted to the tripod using mounting brackets appropriate for the model of sensor. For nonmeteorological applications, the tripod can be used to mount instrument enclosures, solar panels, junction boxes, or antennas.
The CM106 replaced the CM6 and CM10 tripods. Improvements over the CM6/CM10 include using galvanized tubing instead of galvanized pipe which weighs less, and the ability to mount our enclosures on the CM106 leg base. |

To provide additional support for the mast in areas that experience high wind speeds, order the optional guy kit for the CM106 (pn 27117). Refer to the Specifications information on the CM106 product page, which describes a guy kit’s effect on the “Maximum Allowable Sustained Wind” and the “Maximum Allowable Wind Gust” of a CM106.

The “-MM” mount option for our environmental enclosures is intended for mounting the enclosure to a tripod's mast. An enclosure ordered with this option will be shipped with a three-piece bracket mounted to the top of the enclosure and an identical three-piece bracket mounted to the bottom of the enclosure.
All of our standard enclosures (including the ENC16/18) can be mounted to the CM106's leg base. The "-LM" mount option for our environmental enclosures allows the enclosure to be attached to the leg base of the CM106. This option includes a metal flange, two brackets, and a 2.5" u-bolt. The brackets attach to the right and left side of the enclosure, and the flange attaches to the tripod near the mast. The flange fits into a notch in one of the brackets, and the other bracket connects to a tripod leg via the u-bolt.
