The 18529 is the Morningstar SunSaver-10 Regulator that is used with our SP90 and SP50 solar panels and our BP84 battery pack. This regulator controls the current flowing to the battery and prevents the battery current from flowing to the solar panel.
Leer másThe 18529 regulator is also a component of the 25295 PWS100 24Vdc /12Vdc power supply and the PS84 power supply. It outputs up to 10 A at a nominal 12 Vdc. A 15-ft (4.6-m) cable is included for connecting the regulator with a large-capacity, user-supplied, rechargeable battery (see Compatibility tab). It must be housed in an enclosure (hardware for mounting to an enclosure backplate is provided).

Yes. The regulator draws approximately 10 mA continuously. This draw should be included when calculating the power budget of a system.
The 18529 offered by Campbell Scientific does not have the Low Voltage Disconnect feature. Campbell Scientific generally does not recommend using such a feature when critical data collection is involved.
