The release of a new operating system for the CS135 means several important new features. One of the most exciting is perhaps that it can now calculate Mixing Layer Height (MLH), important in air quality modelling.
The MLH is also now displayed on Viewpoint, our visualisation software for the CS135.
MLH is a chargeable extra feature of OS8 although all the other new features are at no extra charge. Others include Sky Condition calculation (cloud coverage in oktas), faster inclinometer response and stratocumulus calibration.
The new OS is backward compatible with all existing CS135s and can be downloaded free here.
