CR23X Built-in Screen Dim

Hi,

The screen on my CR23X is rather dim and approaching unreadable even when connected to an external power source. This seems to have occurred recently and was fine when I took it out of storage a few weeks ago. I replaced the lithium battery with a CR123a as the voltage was getting low (2.6 V) but nothing else except charging the batteries in the base. Is there anything to do?

Please check out section 1 of the manual, particularly section 1.8.6 (in the version I have) "Setting Display Contrast". The setting allows you to change the contrast of the display. This setting can get corrupted.

Of course there could be another problem too but that is worth checking first.
