I have a situation where I may need to replace a rf451 that is serving as a a repeater as part of a pakbus network. The site may have experienced lightning and if so, independen ot the antenna and cable- the radio would potentially need replaced. This is on a tight timeline and I do not have another rf451 in hand. I do have a RF401 and I do have a RF450. Are both of these radios compatible to just swap into the existing network with the correct settings of network ID, subnets, baud rate etc.? thank you in advance
The RF401 is based upon a completely different radio module and is not compatible with the RF45x series. The RF450 is compatible with the RF451 and the RF452 and should be able to work in your network once configured.
